Training time and costs depend on English skills and learning abilities
1. There are no FAA minimum flight or ground time requirement to solo. Students solo after all FAA Soar Hawaii required flight ground school subjects and flight maneuvers procedures are taught, tested and the student demonstrates he/she can operate the aircraft in a safe manner. 2. Estimated cost to solo: $800-$1800. 3. After solo, students must accumulate 2 hours of solo time. 4. After solo, students must accumulate 10 solo flights. 5. Students must pass the FAA Written Exam. (This is a self study exam, however ground instruction is available) 6. Students must log a minimum of three training flights in preparation for the practical test. 7. Students must pass FAA practical test which includes an oral exam and a flight test. 8. Estimated training cost for Private Pilot Glider License including solo: $1,900 to $2,500. 9. Estimated time to complete Private Pilot Glider License: 20 to 35 days (flying each day). If you fly only one day a week, it will take approximately 6 months. FAA Private Glider add-on to present FAA License1. The minimum requirement is 3 hours of flight training or 10 training flights to solo. Most students solo with 3-10 hours of flight instruction and 3-10 hours of ground. 2. Students must accumulate 10 solo flights. 3. Student must log a minimum of 3 instructional flights in preparation for the practical test. 4. Student must pass FAA practical test which includes an oral exam (no FAA written test is required)and a flight test. 5. Estimated training cost: $900 to $1500. 6.
